Once you get in touch, we will arrange a suitable appointment time and I may ask a few questions over the phone to help me understand your needs and ensure my service is appropriate for you.

During the first session, I will spend some time getting to know you, including your interests, daily routine, and personal goals. I will also carry out a detailed physiotherapy assessment, discussing your medical history, medications, mobility and activity levels, previous physiotherapy input, and any injuries or joint problems that may be affecting you.

The assessment will also include looking at how you move, your strength, balance, and general physical function within your home environment. Together, we will discuss realistic goals and decide on a plan for future sessions based on your individual needs and priorities. There will always be time for questions, and you will be fully involved in decisions about your treatment and ongoing rehabilitation.

As sessions take place at home, I may also look at the areas where we will be working to help plan treatment safely and practically. Where appropriate, we may use equipment already available in the home, and I may occasionally ask to leave small items of therapy equipment, such as resistance bands, exercise balls, or mobility aids, for use during future sessions.
