Reconditioning - after a hospital stay, illness, or period of inactivity
Following a hospital admission or period of illness, it is common to experience a noticeable decline in strength, mobility, and overall confidence. Fatigue, reduced balance, and a fear of movement can make even routine daily activities feel challenging.
I provide a specialist, one-to-one reconditioning service designed to support a safe and structured return to independence. Each programme is individually tailored, taking into account your medical history, current physical capacity, and personal goals.
All sessions are delivered in your home environment, allowing rehabilitation to be both practical and relevant to your day-to-day routine. This ensures that progress translates directly into meaningful improvements, whether that is moving safely around your home, getting outdoors, or resuming normal activities.
As a single practitioner, I provide continuity of care throughout your rehabilitation. This allows for a deeper understanding of your progress, consistent clinical decision making, and a more personalised level of support.
I understand that recovery can be a source of concern not only for you, but also for family members, particularly when they are not nearby. On your request and with your consent, I can provide regular updates to a designated family member, offering reassurance, clear progress feedback, and peace of mind throughout your rehabilitation.
