Neurological physiotherapy

Neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, or stroke can change the way your body moves and responds. You may notice difficulties with balance, coordination, muscle stiffness, or reduced control, which can impact your confidence and ability to carry out everyday tasks.

I offer specialist neurological physiotherapy in your home, designed to support your specific condition, symptoms, and goals. Therapy focuses on improving movement quality, enhancing control, and helping you make the most of your current abilities.

Sessions may include targeted movement retraining, balance work, and hands-on techniques to help manage stiffness, maintain joint flexibility, and reduce discomfort.

A key part of neurological rehabilitation is building confidence in movement. Therapy is structured at a pace that feels safe and achievable, helping you regain trust in your body and approach daily activities with more confidence.

Support can also extend beyond the home environment. This may include guided outdoor sessions or wheelchair-based mobility practice, helping you stay active and maintain a connection with the world around you.

By providing consistent, one to one support, I am able to closely monitor your progress and adapt treatment as your needs change over time. Depending on your needs, regular sessions (e.g. weekly or biweekly) can be provided to support the maintenance of function for as long as possible and help you manage the physical effects of your condition over time.
